Learning Care Group News: January 31, 2019
Congratulations to Akshaya Jagdish, the winner of La Petite Academy’s first Kindness Star Contest. This week, La Petite Academy in San Diego hosted a school-wide celebration to honor Akshaya for her efforts to help raise awareness of Alzheimer’s.
Children at our schools love to do good deeds and lend a hand to friends and neighbors. As part of our Season of Kindness, we asked our school families to submit videos featuring their children explaining what makes them a Kindness Star. Our Facebook followers voted for their favorite submissions.
With 856 votes, 4-year-old Akshaya claimed the grand prize, an educational scholarship valued at $2,000. In addition, we have donated $2,000 to the winner’s charity of choice, the Alzheimer’s Association – San Diego/Imperial Chapter.
Thanks to everyone who sent us submissions – we are so proud of each of our students and the amazing ways they give back to our communities!
