Don’ t Miss “Rebuilding Haiti, Step-by-Step: A Family Sweetheart Dance”
OVERLAND PARK, Kansas, January 25, 2010 – La Petite Academy – a leader in early education with more than 15 locations throughout Kansas – is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Costco, 95.7 F.M. The Vibe and the American Red Cross to host a Family Sweetheart Dance called “Rebuilding Haiti, Step-by-Step” to benefit the families of Haiti.
The dance is open to the entire family will take place on Friday, February 12th from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Bacchanalia’s, located at 12450 Newton Ave. in Overland Park.The event is free for local families and will include food, dancing, refreshment and raffles every hour. Donations will be accepted by The American Red Cross onsite via cash, check or credit card.
All metro area Kansas City Costco locations will also be open during that time for non-member shopping. They will be collecting donations at each store location as well.
Local participating businesses have responded with great generosity for the event. The venue was donated by Bacchanalia’s, food and drink was donated by Costco, music will be provided by BJ the DJ, and decorations by Up, Up & Away Balloons & Entertainment.
“This is a great opportunity for families to come together for some quality time while helping out a great cause,” said Rona Moss, area director. “As child advocates, the situation in Haiti really touched many of us and we are excited to help raise some much needed funds for the families impacted by the earthquake.”
