NOVI, Mich., July 10, 2015 – Learning Care Group, Inc. announces that Sean Sondreal will join the organization as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) effective July 20, 2015. Learning Care Group is the second-largest for-profit early education and childcare provider in North America.
As CMO, Sondreal will be responsible for leading Learning Care Group’s marketing efforts by effectively connecting with customers to drive new enrollments and further strengthen customer loyalty throughout its umbrella of brands: Childtime, The Children’s Courtyard, La Petite Academy, Montessori Unlimited and Tutor Time.
“Every parent should feel confident about the early education and care environment they’ve chosen for their child,” noted Sondreal. “I look forward to leading the team in helping parents understand why our schools are the best choice to prepare their child for success in kindergarten and beyond – and to finding ways to further enhance our customers’ quality of life.”
Sondreal has 20 years of leadership experience in marketing, ecommerce and sales. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Bealls Department Stores, a division of Bealls, Inc., which operates more than 530 stores in 16 states under the names of Bealls, Bealls Outlet and Burke’s Outlet. Under his leadership, the retailer rejuvenated its brand image and reinvigorated customer engagement through many customer-focused initiatives including its signature weekly Bealls Day events.
Prior to joining Bealls in 2012, Sondreal was Chief Marketing Officer with discount tool and equipment retailer Harbor Freight Tools, which operates more than 600 stores in 46 states. Previously, he held numerous leadership roles at Kohl’s Corporation, which he joined in 1995 in their management training program. He assumed increasing levels of responsibility in a variety of managerial positions at Kohl’s in Credit Marketing, Ecommerce Marketing, and Direct Marketing before serving as Vice President of Strategic Marketing from 2008-2011.
Sondreal holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Minnesota. He and his family will relocate to Northville, Mich.
