Recognition Highlights Commitment to Student and Staff Safety
[NOVI, MI] — Learning Care Group, Inc., the second-largest for-profit early education and child care provider in North America, has been honored with the Award of Merit by the Storefront Safety Council for its innovative safety barrier project. The award recognizes the company’s dedication to creating safe environments for students, families, and staff.
Presented by the Storefront Safety Council, the Award of Merit celebrates organizations that take meaningful steps to protect people and property. Learning Care Group’s safety initiative focuses on preventing vehicle-related incidents, ensuring the continued security of its school communities.

The award was presented by Rob Reiter, co-founder of the Storefront Safety Council, a group dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for safety measures that reduce the risk of vehicle-into-building incidents.

The objective of the Storefront Safety Initiative (SSI) is to provide free resources to those working to increase pedestrian safety where we eat, work, play & shop. The organization works with industry and government officials to educate and promote building codes. The goal is to increase participation of business owners, property owners, developers, design professionals, and public servants. SSI believes that the implementation of common sense standards of care will help to prevent the substantial loss of life.
