ALPHARETTA, Ga., January 27, 2010 – Nesbit Ferry Montessori (part of the Montessori Unlimited family of schools) is proud to announce that one of its teachers, Denise Harold, M. Ed., has been asked to present at the 2010 Montessori Educational Programs International (MEPI) Hands For Peace International Conference. The event takes place February 26-27 at the Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
Harold is scheduled to speak on Friday, Feb 26 from 3:45-4:45. Her workshop is titled “Parent Education: Building and Retaining Quality Families.”
Harold has over 25 years of experience conducting training and educational seminars. She holds Montessori Early Childhood credentials from the Pan American Montessori Society and has been a teacher at Nesbit Ferry Montessori since 2007. Her upcoming workshop promises to be an impactful, interactive session discussing methods of building effective parent education programs that will engage families with the Montessori Philosophy and Principles.
“The MEPI conference is a great platform to foster growth and community improvement through the Montessori method,” said Harold. “I am honored to be speaking at this year’s event and excited to represent Nesbit Ferry Montessori in such a positive way.”
Besides speaking engagements, many Montessori Directors, including Harold, stay active in the Montessori community by publishing articles related to childhood education, and involving themselves with related professional organizations.
